    from the article

And since 2003, tearing down what he views as the "fascist" tyranny of the United States, as he has put it, is "the central focus of my life."

Through networks of nongovernmental organizations, Soros intends to ruin the presidency of George W. Bush "by any legal means necessary" and knock America off its global pedestal. "His view of America is so negative," says Sen. Joe Lieberman, who, like Gen. David Petraeus, has been a target of Soros' electoral "philanthropy." "The places he's put his money are . . . so destructive that it unsettles me." Soros' aim seems to be to make the U.S. just another client state easily controlled by the United Nations and other one-world groups where he has lots of friends.

A vote for Hillary is a vote for George Soros. MoveOn.org has gotten financing from the deep pockets of billionaires such as George Soros, who pledged it $5 million in the past and implied he would give more if that's what it took to win elections. That's not his only cause. He funds a network of organizations that have critical uses to the Democrats, such as a think tank closely associated with Hillary Clinton's supporters and ex-aides called the Center for American Progress, and plenty of others. MoveOn's leaders declared in a 2004 e-mail that its cash contributions ensure its control of the Democrats: "Now it's our Party: we bought it, we own it, and we're going to take it back."

      >>>But his motives seemed less than idealistic. All Soros groups tend to tear down tyrannies rather than build up democracies.

George Soros is Hungarian and his perspective on the world reflects his personal experience of both Nazism and Communism. If he sees the US under George Bush as a fascist tyranny his opinion is not one that should be taken lightly.

In Europe his energies have been devoted to helping to repair the damage of Communism. He created and funds the Central European University in Budapest and has helped to bring democratic - SMALL d - principles to some of the more benighted former Communist Central Asian Republics, while the US has been supporting some of the most vile tyrants of the modern world in exchange for bases in countries such as Uzbekistan.

The Central European University is an exemplary institution and provides a haven for scholars and students from many of these countries.

During the Milosevic era Serb scholars in exile, for example.

Now that I've probably told you far more about George Soros than you all appeared to know perhaps someone could explain what this story is doing in the MEN folder?
