German officials are drafting legislation to sentence men for up to 10 years in prison if they obtain sexual services from women forced into prostitution, according to a report in a news magazine.

Although I find prostitution unacceptable to me, I find it sensible that Germany (like most of Nevada) does not punish people for selling their bodies in exchange for sexual pleasure. I agree with the CDU on this issue. No one should be forced into prostitution; those who frequent forced prostitutes and do nothing to help them should be prosecuted. What I do not understand is, if brothels are legal, who are the pimps?

The people frequenting forced prostitutes are not your "average customer". There're reasons why they don't go to safe, legal, regulated brothels and prostitutes, or reasons why they are turned away from these brothels.
